Strategy Mode!

A quick update to show off some visuals of strategy mode I put up over the weekend. I want to keep charging ahead with feature development. However, strategy mode needs some questions answered before things continue too quickly.

I’m starting to feel the satisfaction of having my own little ball of play-doh to form 🙂

I’m excited to sort through my thoughts this week and conclude how grand strategy mode will be. There are several things I’m planning that force both playstyles, but answering some questions on the depth of base and unit management need to come first. I really like it, but how much is necessary? How much is too much? Having some basic missions and tasks, that I can play through in both styles should help me answer more.

The POI above is a military base, one of the randomized POI’s that populates the world. The player encounters POI’s as they explore. It is one of the more ‘populated’ or ‘civilized’ locations designed to give the player access to resources via actions/trade/relations. The base has several buildings, powered by Generators that can be destroyed. These need to be defended against randomized undead incursions (if you own the base). More enemy types are planned following Mission & UI work.

  • Save/Load.
  • Further UI work for Character stats/traits/equipment.
